Dear Dr. “M” . . .

I realize you did not have to do what you did yesterday, and that you went way beyond the call of duty.

Your kindness and generosity does not go unappreciated by this long-term cancer patient, who has had a tough time recently.

You have been a tremendous asset to me since our introduction and I cannot thank you enough. One strives to hold on to the good things in life when one is challenged . . .your treatment has kept me going and feeling like I am able to face the world.
