Peels

- The AFA Clay Peel - As we age, our skin ages and accumulates exposure to the damaging rays of the sun. Skin texture becomes coarse, fine lines begin to show, and pigmentation irregularities (age spots) begin to appear. A series of the AFA Clay Peel can help combat these signs. The AFA Clay Peel promotes cell turnover by exfoliating the skin and removing dead or damaged skin cells. The results are dramatic. Skin texture feels softer, smoother and tighter after the first treatment. The recommended full series of 4-6 treatments improves the appearance of fine lines, irregular pigmentation significantly improves over time and the appearance of enlarged pores is refined.
- Melanage Skin Lightening/Melasma Peel - The first Hydroquinone+Retinoid masque for the treatment of hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, deep pigment issues or melasma. Melanage is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmented skin by stimulating collagen production that ultimately improves skin tone and texture, and helps diminish fine lines and pigmentation.
- The Rejuvenating Peel- Designed for normal skin, this peel is aggressive and stimulating. A 70% glycolic acid is used. The usual "sting" is minimized by a patented natural element known as Strontium. After the peel, the skin is smoother and more radiant, with exfoliation occurring over several days. Copper-peptide moisturizer is applied to accelerate collagen and elastin production. This treatment may be applied to the face, neck, chest and hands.
- The Rapid Response Peel - This peel provides soothing and gentle immediate exfoliation employing the latest in AFA fruit-acid technology. The peel is followed by a series of moisturizing treatments that leave skin refreshed and vibrant. Designed for all skin types. An excellent choice before that special evening event.
- The Ultimate Restoration Peel- This aggressive skin treatment employs a combination of microdermabrasion and either the Rejuvenating, Clarifying or Beta Peel. By stripping away the outer dead skin barrier, the secondary peel acts directly at the site of active skin physiology. Special copper-peptide topicals are applied at the conclusion of the treatment. Active skin moisturization keeps the skin looking great during the first two weeks after the treatment.
- The Beta Peel- This treatment is recommended for thick, oily and acne prone skin. This peel utilizes salicylic acid and may reduce pore size, control oil production and exfoliate dead skin cells that clog pores.
- The TCA Peel- Unlike the rest of our peel family, this peel does require recovery time. However, the results are unequaled as an aggressive exfoliation occurs over three to four days. Intensive moisturization is required as dry and damaged skin is allowed to naturally slough off during this recovery period. A fantastic minimally invasive alternative to laser resurfacing. Not available as a series.
- Microdermabrasion - Microdermabrasion is an intense exfoliation process that rejuvenates the skin by utilizing ultra-fine crystals to remove the upper layer of the epidermis. At the same time, the hand piece of the instrument contains a vacuum tube that sweeps up both the crystals and the skin's cellular debris. This process exfoliates the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin which will result in a firmer, more youthful looking skin over time. Microdermabrasion is often used in conjunction with the Rejuvenating Peel for maximum effect.
